Rob Lutes

Reviews
On Nov. 23 Rob Lutes and Rob MacDonald played at "De Slotplaats" in Bakkeveen , the Netherlands. It was our "show of the year", they played so skilfully and passionately that the audience fell for them right away. It's only the very best that are able to play better live than on the cd. These guys can do it and add something extra to the studio work. Rob Lutes is a great songwriter and he has the perfect voice for this kind of rootsy blues and singer-songwriter music, he plays the guitar very well too.   Rob MacDonald backs him up perfectly, he must have been born with a dobro in his arms; never saw someone play the dobro like that: fingerpicking, slide and playing solo's that made the audience held their breath and burst out into loud applause. At the end they got a standing ovation.  If they are playing somewhere near to where you live, be sure not to miss it, it won't get any better! -

“I received great feedback from my listeners: Rob’s appearance at Crossroads was definitely one of the 3 very best sessions out of the 145 sessions we recorded so far. He could easily compete with famous artists like Darrell Scott and David Olney”. Jos van den Boom, Crossroads Radio, Bergen op Zoom, The Netherlands
